Reunited!

And it was so good! Tonight my book club gathered for our monthly meet up of dining and dishing, this time over Steig Larsson's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (read my review here). But it was extra special when former clubber, Tristin joined us for some fabulous food, conversation and laughs. That's her, looking gorgeous with her long auburn locks and warm smile in the front row, second from the right. But I think all the book club babes look fantastic!

My Fabulous Find!

I have a perfectly empty spot in my house that needs a little ambiance, decor or personality. I have wanted it to be something reflective of me and perhaps my hobbies. Well, this weekend, I found the perfect find! An old Royal typewriter. It's such a perfect gem!

Home Tour Love

This Valentine's Day, I spent the day with my mom and a friend touring some of the historic homes of our city. I LOVE looking at how the other half or third or 10% live. E loves playdates, so he was off with pal David having a ball. All of the homes had unique character, some rustic, some classic, some comfortable and one just bizzare. One of the nicer ones paid attention to the details both inside and outside with the placement of this whimsical bike perfectly displayed on this brilliantly blue day.

It Ain't Great Unless It's All Over Your Face

E's class Valentine's Day party, replete with edible envelopes (graham crackers kid-smeared with frosting, stamped with a choco heart and addressed with M&Ms). Dangerously delish!

Vday Craft Night

E's teacher assigned the kiddos to make their own Valentine's day boxes for receiving the wealth of candy and cards that was awaiting them. Gone are the days of a large piece of construction paper folded in half with the outer edges stapled to form a pocket. Some of the boxes were crazy-tricked-out. These kids (or their parents) have some mad decoratin' skillz.

When Kiddos Collide

E and a fellow soccer player crashed into each other while both defending their respective team's position. It resulted in a few tears, a short rest and a minor bruise, but this little toughie went on to successfully block three goals, and help his team win the game! WOOT!
