Totally random rambling...
- Has anyone seen the similarity between Coldplay's Green Eyes (from A Rush of Blood to the Head) and anything by Wilco (when Billy Bragg is fronting)? Try Wilco's California Stars. Listen closely. There is a real likeness in sound of voice and sparseness - is that even a word? Trust me.
- I am really worried that Maroon 5's sophomore effort won't be as good as the first. Despite the fact that crazy bigtime debuts often don't have follow up efforts that garner the same kind of success as the first, I just think Adam Levine is spending too much time playin' the ladies of the biz, and maybe needs to spend a little more time in the studio.
- The Office is crazy funny. I watched all of Season 1 this past weekend. Okay, so it's only six episodes and without commercials that's only 20 minutes per. But laugh out loud fun I am telling you.
- What's going on with Jen and Vince's new movie, The Break Up? First it was scheduled to release in Feb. Then in April. Now, I can't find it in my Entertainment Weekly Spring Movie preview. What gives?
- My brother sent me a totally cool link for this online game where you try to stump the computer and pick a dictator or sitcom character. You then answer questions and the game tries to guess who you are thinking of. If you want to try it, be my guest: http://www.smalltime.com/dictator.html. I stumped the chump twice.

OK, I'm going to have to respond w/like an entire blog myself.
A. Yes, Coldplay + old Wilco = why doesn't everyone like these bands? And I just remembered that you said you didn't like Yankee Foxtrot Hotel. Sacrilege. Jeff Tweady rules and Billy Bragg drools.
B. At this particular moment I just want my work neighbor to stop her phone from playing THISLOVEHASTAKENITSTOLLONME etc b/c it's ruining the song for me. And sophomore efforts almost always suck, except with COLDPLAY + WILCO.
C. The Office is even crazier funnier the 2nd season. Did you watch teh English version yet?
D. This movie must have had post-production problems. Now you have a sense of my pain in waiting while The New World was postponed 3 times.
E. I hate you for this link.
OK: here is my first run through from the Dictator, and he got it right!
"Well, I win this round. You are player number 27 to pick Simone de Beauvoir from France, and what a clever choice it was! You almost had me for a while, but you let your guard down. Don't worry, it happens to all of us sooner or later. Please play again, and next time I'll be ready for you, Simone de Beauvoir from France."
A. Jeff Tweady blows and Billy Bragg sings. Literally and metaphorically.
So there.
B. Such a good song. So bad it's a ringtone. Why can't I get the Sex and the City Theme song as a ringtone for all my gal pals that call?
C. No on the BBC version. Are you kidding? I have 220+ dvds in my netflix queue. Ain't gonna happen.
D. I think it's going to bomb out. Bummer.
E. I rock the hizzouse!
Girl! You can get any ringtone you want. I will tell you later.
About a year from now, you will see the English version of the Office, and will realize that seeing it would have added depth to your viewing of the American version, and you will realize its superiority, and you will regret the time you wasted. And I will not say... I told you so.
That is all.
I meant the British version. I am muy tired.
