This past weekend we attended a birthday party of one of Emerson's classmates (and perhaps first best friend) who turned three. Sadly this little boy is moving to the 3 year old room at school starting this week. The party had a ton of kids and Emerson was the only one invited from school. As they squealed and giggled and smeared cake across their faces, their beverages were left behind.
Their discards were a flashback for me, although my memory has Capri Sun pouches. I distinctly recall the satisfaction of sucking in all the liquid in an attempt to make my pouch the flatest of all. Tossing it in the trash we would likely return to a highly competitive game of freeze tag. Running and freezing and falling to the grass as laughter flowed freely. Oh, those were my days.
But now, these are his.

What a sweet thing. Isn't it funny how things are kids do can remind of us such simple things in our own childhood?
I love to note the parallels between my childhood and my kids'. It's nice when it's a good memory that doesn't necessarily make you think 'things were better in the old days...'. Thanks for sharing and Happy Love Thursday!
I remember mine as being Zet-O and Hi-C with Goldilocks bread ... those were the days. I love the feeling this picture invokes ...
Happy LT! I'm up as well.
That is a great picture.
