There seemed to be just a moment of hesitation in him on this big day of change and new experience. Otherwise, he was excited and curious and ready to dive in at school. He wanted us to stay, of course, and hang out; but, he was more than fine when we said we couldn't.
It was me that lost it just a little bit as he hugged me and kissed my cheek.
