Farewell Hug

Today, the folks had to depart and head back to the heartland. It was a great visit, full of new and wonderful experiences, all documented to recall for years to come. Safe travels. We are already planning our trip out there.

These boots was made for walkin'

And trippin' and he's fixin' to get used to 'em.

E put these adorable - hard to believe they are a hand-me-down in this mint condition - boots from his cousin J and walked as awkwardly as a new foal getting used to it's legs. Hoping he gives the boys another try soon, because they are awfully cute.

E has been extra affectionate today. Asking for kisses, saying "I love you" and hugging it all out. While at dinner, he looked at me and said, "Mommy, can you kiss my hand so I can put it in my pocket?"

Don't Try This at Home

But boy it was good! Bananas Foster prepared by a student at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute's soon-to-be closing L'Ecole Restaurant. The school can't afford to continue losing money on its student-run restaurant just because folks no longer eat 3 and 4 course meals, replete with an amuse bouche, intermezzo and dessert. It was delicious and certainly will be missed.
