He makes awkward situations (and my phototaking skills) more awkward. Me and Mike Birbiglia and after his "I'm In the Future Also" tour at the Avalon in Hollywood, California. This was part of my and Carolyn's wicked-awesome road trip to El A for our birthdays. I have a whole photo album affectionately called: Crackers Going to Cali: Birbigs Bday Road Trip 2009. It tells the story of two cracker friends, Lara and Carolyn celebrate their birthdays in SoCal with Mike Birbiglia, some sand, surf and a monster donut. The pictures and captions are great (hey, friends of facebook told me so, so it must be true) but too many to load. Just trust me. It was awesome.

With the help of the Birbigs Team, Carolyn and I get a legititmate shot with Mike. No Kenny G-ing it up tonight (Mike's term for bombing at comedy, the way Kenny G bombs at Jazz). The show was fantastic!
Vintage Mike: Last year's tour poster of the show of his I first heard. They had these on hand and I had Mike personalize it, spelling my name for him. Right after he wrote my name he say's, "Ooooh noooo." I tell him it's okay and to just cross it out.
This is the best name goof up ever.
